Hunter Creative Arts Workshops are a series of one-day workshops in dance drama, music and visual arts for public school students in Year 5 and Year 6. The workshops give students access to industry professionals and expands their skills and experiences in the creative and performing arts.
In 2021 this exciting opportunity is available for students in Years 5 and 6 with high potential in the creative domain.
The Hunter Creative Arts Camp is traditionally a week-long residential camp aimed at students with a passion for music, art, dance or drama. This year in 2021, to ensure that all students have a chance to experience this amazing opportunity, we are bringing camp to you in the form of single day workshops taking place across the Regional North area.
With a theme based on travel, students can attend the singleday workshops in their chosen artform where they will have access to professional teachers, industry professionals and artists where they will work together to extend their skills, knowledge and understanding of their chosen arts area.
The workshops will be filmed and photographed throughout the week and shared with our friends and family.
Students attending will need to wear comfortable clothing, bring morning tea and lunch, a water bottle and a great attitude.
Each workshop will have a cost of $70 per day (including camp t-shirt to wear on the day).
More detailed information will be sent to confirm venues and workshop details once student need is established.
The operation of this program is contingent on advice provided by the NSW Department of Education in consultation with NSW Health. All activities will adhere to the DoE COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions.
