Hunter Primary Drama Festival

The Hunter Primary Drama Festival is an opportunity for Hunter/Central Coast public schools to showcase selected drama items in a professional theatre. 

The festival will provide opportunities for students to build knowledge, skills and understanding of performing and appreciating in drama, by creating a journey of excellence for students not only at school level, but beyond. This festival promotes the excellence of the arts in NSW Public Schools and build connections with communities from the Hunter and Central Coast. 

The operation of this program is contingent on advice provided by the NSW Department of Education in consultation with NSW Health. All activities will adhere to the DoE COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions.

2021 dates

Tuesday 19 October and Wednesday 20 October 2021

(Term 4 Week 3)

Performance at 6:30 pm each evening.

Please note: The original July 2021 program was been postponed to support efforts to maintain the safety and wellbeing of students and staff.

Cost

$50 per school group, which will include all theatre costs, a stage rehearsal with sound and lighting crew, a feedback session, and a drama workshop for all students in the group.

Audience Tickets

Tickets to the Hunter Primary Drama Festival must be purchased via the Hunter School of the Performing Arts website.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday 22nd July 2021 at 9 am
(Week 1 Term 3)

Ticket Price: $16.50 (All tickets general admission)

Ticket prices include GST and Booking Fees. Transaction Fees may apply. 

Applications

The festival will be open to all public schools who would like to participate, no audition necessary.
