The Bandlink Griffith Workshops are being held in 2021 in place of the Riverina Combined Schools Music (Concert Band) Camp.
Led by professional tutors and experienced conductors, the program involves a series of two-day workshops consisting of large concert band and smaller tutorial sessions, bringing specialised skills to country NSW students.
Bandlink caters for concert band instrumentalists (along with bass guitarists who read notation) of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Interested public school students from Years 3 to 12 are eligible to apply. It is expected that all students who register will be accepted, unless maximum numbers are reached.
The operation of this program is contingent on advice provided by the NSW Department of Education in consultation with NSW Health. All activities will adhere to the DoE COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions.
Applications are now open.

Information for teachers/students
Teachers are invited to attend Bandlink workshops along with their students (as an excursion).
The workshops will be excellent professional development for concert band teachers.
Schools are responsible for the cost of travel and teacher relief.
Students are reminded to bring a music stand if they have one (labelled), reeds valve oil if required, water, food and drink for morning tea and lunch.
Individual students are able to attend the workshop without an accompanying teacher as supervision is provided.
Bandlink is a two-day workshop program and overnight accommodation and travel is the responsibility of school and/or carers this year.
Bandlink Riverina Griffith Workshops are being staged in this location to save the students in Griffith area travel and accommodation.
However, Bandlink is also running on 6 and 7 June in Wagga Wagga. Students may attend either or both of the Wagga Wagga and Griffith Bandlink workshops.
